          The article talks about the filmmaking behind Lexus’ new video for their newest car. In the article, it talks about how when making this video, they would put the parts that they had on a timeline. Having it on a timeline would allow for multiple people to work on it together in different places. This company called, BlackMagic Design, has two different locations. One in Tokyo and the other in Nagoya. This has major decreased the amount of time that they must spend when editing this video together. They also state that their new film equipment is so easy to use, that someone who has never recorded film before, could film a scene and send it to their timeline. The article also talks about how when shooting this video, they had a lot of still pictures, videos, and film that they did not know what to do with. Like I said before, their timeline function allows them to take everything that they have recorded, and choose what they want to use and what they don’t want to use. From the article, I thought it was very interesting how high-quality their equipment is to allow them to record this films and cut parts out that they want to. I also found interesting that the whole company is always flowing together. Due to their timeline system, and having 2 major corporations where they work, how quickly and thoroughly they are able to produce good work. I think this material is very useful because it explains good techniques for people to use that will allow them to work simultaneously. This article has implications for me as a filmmaker because it goes into detail about how they shot these scenes and how they are able to design it how they want to. Being able to have the equipment they do, it allows for them to produce high-quality work. It also teaches how to be fortified as a whole team. Through their timeline system, they have people specialized for each job that they need done. And while doing this, they are all able to work together at the same time. Some questions that I have about this is how did they find the best place to film this. The video is filmed in what looks like a sunny day on a bridge. Another question I have is how did they come up with the idea for their timeline system. Obviously it works very well, but what type of ideas were they thinking about when making this system.i would like to know more about Toyota’s plan for this car as a company. I would want to learn more about BlackMagic Design and their history. I can most likely find that on their home website if they have one. I finally would want to learn more about what goes into shooting a scene like this. I find it very interesting about how this was all recorded and I think it would be very cool to learn more about this.
